Recommendation

At its June 25, 2014 meeting, board recommended Madera County as the prospective fee title donee for 220 acres of land in the Manzanita Lake planning unit, located in Madera County.

Land Stewardship Proposals

In May 2014, the Stewardship Council received a modified Land Stewardship Proposal from Madera County to supplement the Land Stewardship Proposal received in 2011. The information and statements contained in this supplement was prepared by Madera County. Proposals are presented 'as is' and the Stewardship Council does not make any assertion regarding the accuracy or completeness of information presented, nor do the proposals necessarily reflect the views of the Stewardship Council.

On July 8, 2011, the Stewardship Council received two land stewardship proposals from organizations interested in being considered for a donation of fee title to certain lands located within the Manzanita Lake planning unit. Madera County and the North Fork Mono Tribeprepared and submitted proposals. The respective organizations prepared the information and statements contained in these proposals. Proposals are presented as is, and the Stewardship Council does not make any assertion regarding the accuracy or completeness of information presented, nor do the proposals necessarily reflect the views of the Stewardship Council. The Stewardship Council will fully review and consider the proposals before recommending any organizations for donation of fee title to lands within the Manzanita Lake planning unit.

Please note that the Land Stewardship Proposal submitted by the North Fork Mono Tribe linked below concerns three planning units within the Willow Creek watershed area, including the Manzanita Lake planning unit.
